Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 

Location: Howard County, Maryland 

Position Type: Full-Time 

Starting Pay: $15-$21 per hour (depending on experience) 

Description: 

Labor of Love Adult Family Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our home healthcare team in Howard County, Maryland. In this role, you will provide essential support to our clients, assisting them with daily living activities and promoting their overall well-being in a home environment. 

Reporting Relationship: 

This position reports directly to the Program Director. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. 
• Help clients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as prescribed. 
• Monitor and document clients' vital signs and health status, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse. 
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. 
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed. 
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. 
• Follow individualized care plans and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations. 

Required Skills and Abilities: 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to client care. 

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures. 

Physical and Mental Demands: 

Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed (up to 50 lbs). 

Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. 

Capacity to handle the emotional and mental demands of working with clients in varying health conditions. 

Qualifications and Education: 

High school diploma or equivalent. Current Maryland CNA certification. 

CPR and First Aid certification preferred. 

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must pass a background check and drug screening. 

Must live within 20 miles of the 20759 Zip code! 

Training and Experience: 

Previous experience in a home health or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
